Light and Fluffy Time

It is that time of the month again. You know the one where Flower Violence imposes upon you the ramifications of their ruddy, verbal ovulation? We hope you’ve enjoyed the incomprehensibly lengthy hiatus that has afflicted our blogger’s prowess as long as your activities are parentally approved and supervised. If indeed, then indeed.
We’ve been playing a lot of shows on our heavily promoted tour of Sacramento, particularly in the 16th and Broadway region. We’ve shared the stage with such notable acts as half of The Sweets, who you should go look up now instead of finish reading this. Shows have kept us busy, but not necessarily productive. Rest assured, we’ll be bringing some new hors d'oeuvres to the high society congregations that we elusively yet consistently host.

Despite going nowhere at the speed of light, Flower Violence is still somehow managing to book a few shows here and there as well as preparing another musical arrangement for your listening pleasure. This is the first of our new arrangements to feature keyboard parts. No, Ashley Ellyllon (the hot chick from that one black metal band) is not playing keyboards for Flower Violence and yes, I wish to god she was (misogyny). Instead we have our very own Chase Madson (sigh) juggling keyboard and vocal duties for now. Unsurprisingly and anticlimactically, whether or not we intend to annex another individual to play keyboards is as of yet unbeknownst. Either way, anticipate didgeridoo and castanet parts to be written before too much time passes. Also expect that we play the new song soon, which is Flower Violence for later than soon.

The most exciting news I have for you is that Flower Violence will be partaking in a split release with the Florida grind monsters known as Bulletproof Your Limousine. I can’t stress enough how excited we are for this. These guys are fucking crazy good! Check ‘em out on the myspace at myspace.com/bpyl. The split will feature five new songs on account of Bulletproof Your Limousine and five songs by yours truly, including two brand new tracks, a cover, and rerecorded versions of Hive Fleet Behemoth and Emerald Age. Anticipate its release this summer.
Also check out our friends in Caulfield at myspace.com/caulfieldhc. They manifest such awesome puns as ”rawdiculous” and “rawesome.” But really, they’re a talented bunch of musicians and you’d be a baka not to check them out.
